The Library has opened… ancient seals have been cracked, waxy crumbs fall to the ground, and the glowing runes fade. The vault thrums with power, dust is shaken loose from the cracks and neglected ledges. Heavy power cables that line the vault frame pop out in rapid succession, each one snapping loose with a violent crack. The cables hiss and whip away leaving a thick trail of steam in their wake. Somewhere in the distance a klaxon is sounding and machinery deep underground begins to rumble.
Brass pistons set within the door begin to work at a furious pace, the ends of the clacking arms glowing like miniature suns. And there at the tips, the stars weave patterns in mid air… the neon glow of a passcode, drawn in starlight that fades almost as fast as it appears. There is a chime that resonates across several dimensions and the long slow ‘snik’ of a bolt lock sliding free. The vault cracks open and the sudden rush pulls everything toward it. The dust and debris, the fallen bits of wax, and the thick plumes of steam sucked into the widening maw, as if the way has been opened to the vacuum of space.
The howling winds die down, the klaxons fade, and beyond the once imposing barrier, there is now a radiating glow. From within, the smell of old paper, tobacco and oiled leather fills the space. There is the faint redolence of coffee, tea and fresh pastries. And above it all, the overwhelming sense of warmth and comfort.
The opening beckons, someplace new, and yet somehow… familiar.

Recap
This past weekend, I did a ton of work getting The Impossible Library ready to reveal some of my work. The Writing tab was set up, and the first chapters of two stories have gone live.
In addition, I've reworked each section to better visualize The Impossible Library—the fusion of magic and technology, ancient relics from bygone eras merged with quantum physics, internal workings forged from the bones of eldritch gods, and the enigmatic caretakers inking tomes with the prismatic ichor of a sleeping god.god.
A Killer Hand This novella (23,000 words) follows Freddy Krueger hosting a poker night with his fellow slashers. In attendance: Pinhead, Candyman, Jason, and Angela Baker. Chucky cancels last minute but reminds Freddy that "the new guy" is showing up tonight. Who is this new slasher, and why is his luck so good? The remaining 8 chapters are scheduled to post twice weekly—Mondays and Fridays throughout June.

Grim Dawn: Web Series This ongoing web series follows Alarik as he navigates a world ravaged by Chthonian horrors and Aethereal invaders, both with machinations to destroy humanity and claim this world as their own.
Reader-Driven Narrative: The details are still in early stages, but the intent is to pause the story at key moments and give readers the chance to influence where it goes. Forks in the path will lead Alarik to different encounters, new allies, and enemies.
